Harassment (Griefing) |
|
The definition of a "griefer" from Google is: Griefer is the term for a player in an online computer game who deliberately sets out to discomfort other players. The common definition includes activities which are allowed on DR, most notably PK, so here are some EXAMPLES of what constitutes a "griefing" rules violation on DR.
The following are EXAMPLES of things that are NOT against the rules:
Do NOT attempt to use this rule as a way to get back at someone you simply don't like. Reporting harassment is only to be used in cases of CLEARLY extreme or prolonged harassment. Try to be a big girl or boy and deal with conflict yourself. Hire Inferno, make friends who will beat them up, use the "deaf" command. Cancel your "detect magic". Try reasoning with them, IC, and OOC. Learn how to use the #gag command in Wintin or the equivalent in your client (#gag *NameOfHarasser*). Calling in the IMMs is THE ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT, and you better have some very convincing and clear-cut logs of the offending conduct before you call US in to handle YOUR problems. |
