Beyond the eastern edge of the battlefields of Azaward lies the black
citadel of the demon horde, a locus of vast forces of evil. From beyond
the gates of its drawbridge, the leaders of the demonic horde tirelessly
plan their attack strategies in an attempt to destroy Azaward and gain a
better footing in the region. The few that have escaped the Inner Sanctum
alive tell tales of horrific atrocities within, ranging from the befoulment
of elven prisoners to the existence of horrific beasts of death and decay.
However, the sheer lack of survivors that emerge from its depths is an
undeniable indicator of the perils that lie within.
