East of the Dwarf Forest, along the Eastern Road, lies a dusty path
to the village where the gnomes make their home. Though small in
stature, gnomes are renowned for their scientific prowess. They are
adept at creating machines of all kinds to help them in their little
gnomish lives. Gnomes hate outsiders, however, and will seldom sell
their fine wares to any not of gnomish blood. In fact, it is rumoured
that the gnomes have actually tried to take over Rhia, substituting
machines known as "gnomebots" for the unwary adventureres they have
managed to capture!
Although they seem too small to pose a threat, their fierce intelligence
has allowed them to capture or coerce many stronger races -- in fact,
they have hobgoblins working their mines!
