On the River of Lost Souls, the river which flows through the great city
of Visegrad to the Dragon Sea, stands a forgotten and badly weathered dock.
Once this dock served a great Abbey, a sanctuary for priests and other holy
folk which was renowned for its great library as well as its tastefully
chosen wine cellar. The Abbot Clestus served his flock and was known to be
a man of extreme intelligence and diligence, though his tastes in research
tended towards the occult. The Abbey now is a place of death and
destruction, with no living thing to walk its halls and the souls of the
dead crying out for solace. What could have happened here, what terrible
and tragic events took place to bring the Abbey to such a state?
